Our new summer menu at The Rising Sun is here
The new summer menu at The Rising Sun is live and our chefs have been busy. Bursting with vibrant seasonal flavours, there’s something on the plate for everyone this summer, whether you’re a pasta lover, a spice seeker or firmly in the dessert-first camp.
Fresh Summer Dishes at The Rising Sun

For a taste of something fresh and bright, the Lemon Ricotta & Pine Nut Ravioli is served with summer ratatouille, romesco and pickled peppers. It’s pasta-tively perfect for warmer days!
Feeling a little more adventurous? The Apricot & Harissa-Spiced Chicken Tagine brings together sweet and smoky flavours with pistachio & almond couscous, baby courgettes and olives. A proper holiday-on-a-plate moment, no passport required.
A Summer Menu Worth Travelling For
If you’re after something a little more special, the Provençale-Crusted Devon Scallops are served with datterino tomato fondue, grilled courgette and new potatoes. A true taste of the Mediterranean, and absolutely worth making a reservation for.
Save room for the Strawberry Dream. Layers of strawberry nectar, macerated strawberries and raspberries, cantaloupe melon and strawberry ice cream come together in a finale that’s summer in every spoonful..
Two Courses from £18.50 with The Rising Sun Set Menu
Don’t overlook the Seasonal Set Menu either, marked with a ✶ on the menu and available Monday to Friday, 12 to 5pm. Two courses for £18.50 or three for just £6 more.
This month features a vibrant Chickpea & Tomato Salad with smoked aubergine caviar, pomegranate, olive oil and molasses, alongside a comforting Slow-Cooked Pork Loin with caraway cabbage, colcannon potatoes and meunière sauce.
Fresh flavours, longer days and plates worth lingering over. Now that’s a summer with heart.
